Richard Burtzlaff spent his entire career as an engineer and manager in the design, development and operation of space and aviation systems.
He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, and a Master of Business Administration.
He began his career as a launch team member at Cape Canaveral, Florida in 1963 and went on to design hardware for numerous launch vehicles and spacecraft.
