    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:
Ms. Kim R B Mc Clain

My father, Richard L. Burnett, was born in Washington D.C. and continues to reside in the area today. In August 1951 he joined the Navy and proudly served his country aboard the aircraft carrier USS Coral Sea. Later he continued to serve his country as a civilian by providing night vision technology to the military. His incredible knowledge helped pilots to defend our country in missions such as Desert Storm and in many other areas as well.

My dad shares his love and knowledge of aircraft with his family. Recently he took our family to the new air and space museum. It was amazing to see the airplanes my dad has talked about to us over the years.

My dad has been and always will be my hero. We would like to honor this very special man in a very special way with his name on the Wall of Honor of the National Air and Space Museum.

Wall of Honor profiles are provided by the honoree or the donor who added their name to the Wall of Honor. The Museum cannot validate all facts contained in the profiles.
