    Entered USAF as an aviation cadet in 1949. Served as a Flight Instructor in T-6, T-28, and T-33 aircraft 1951-1953. Flew F-86D with 86th Fighter Intercept Squadron, Youngstown Municipal Airport, OH and 525th F.I.S., Landstuhl AB, Germany from 1953-1955. Received a Bachelor of Education degree from Univ. of Omaha in 1960 and a BS Mechanical Engineering (Aero Option) from Okla. State Univ. in 1965. Flew 126 combat missions win EC-47 aircraft in Vietnam 1970-71 and served as Commander 360th Tac. Squadron. Awarded Bronze Star, DFC, and three Air Medals. Served as Deputy Base Commander at Hanscom Fld., MA. And as Base Commander at Edwards AFB, CA. Retired in 1974.
