    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:

I entered the Civilian Pilot Training program in January 1941 when it was opened to non-college students. I received my private license September 1941 and my commercial license and instructor's rating in June of 1942. In July 1942 I went to work as a flight instructor at Darr Aero Tech in Albany, Georgia. When the school closed in 1944 I went to Washington, D.C. and went to work for TWA as a navigator on the North Atlantic Run.
When TWA-ICD shut down I returned home after five years of training and service. I was in the USAAF for two years and ten months on inactive duty (1942 to 1945).
I retired from Snap-On Tools Corp. in 1984. I am 80 this past July.
