    Ms. Amy Dahlby

When I think of a man to be honored, many men who have changed the course of our history come to mind; but personally only one American stands out to me in my history, my father Robert Andrew Spence.

By adding his name to the Wall of Honor you are adding a man that represents patriotism, loyalty, and family values, not to mention a love of flying. My father, a dentist by occupation, has always had a great admiration for aviation and all things aeronautical. It is always a lengthy office visit if the patient happens to be a pilot as he loves to hear about the past, present, and future of aviation.

My father served his country during the Vietnam War era at Fort Bragg, North Carolina where he practiced dentistry for the Army. One fond memory he has of his time there was watching members of the 82nd Airborne in action. Although he himself did not participate in these exercises, I believe he sometimes wishes he might have had that opportunity.

I sincerely request the addition of the name Robert A. Spence to the Wall of Honor. By adding his name to the Wall, I believe you will be honoring a truly great American.
