    Retire MSgt 1953 to 1975 USAF. After basic training, assigned to Edwards AFB Calif., crewed B-45 and flew as tow target reel operator, crew chief on XB-51 and flight tests on C-130A. Assigned to Sewart AFB TN in 1957, flew as flight engineer on C-130A. Assigned to Ashiya Air Base Japan, 1958, flew C-130A as flt engineer, supply support for all of South East Asia. Assigned to Tachikawa AB Japan 1960-1961 as flt engineer C-130A. 1961 assigned to Patrick AFB FL as flt engineer on C-130A until 1964. While at Patrick, flew Atlantic Missile covering Mercury and Gemini Space programs. Reassigned to Edwards AFB in Cal. In 1964, flt engineer on C-130A, E and H models, flew NASA recovery team for X15 test program. Assigned to Wright Patterson AFB Ohio as flt eng on C-130A, B, E, H, P and C-131B. Flew cold weather test in Alaska for C-130H, helped build AC-130A Gunship II program, flt tested AC-130A in Vietnam in 1968, 1969. Awarded 1 DFC and 2 AIC medals. Assigned to Naha Air Base Japan in 1969 to 1971, flt engineer on C-130A, flew combat support in Vietnam, awarded 1 DFC, 3 AIR medals. Assigned to Little Rock AFB in 1971 as maintenance Supervisor until 1972. Assigned to Ubon Thailand as maintenance supervisor until 1973. Assigned to Little Rock AFB AK as maintenance supervisor. Retired as MSgt on 1 Sept 1975
