    Robert B. Widder from Gettysburg, PA, graduated from Penn State University with a degree in architecture and embarked on a career as a senior design chief for the Smithsonian Institution’s Museum of Natural History and Technology, and National Air and Space Museum.
    Bob received a certificate of appreciation for his significant service in the preparation of the opening of NASM, July 1, 1976, signed by Michael Collins. He was extremely proud of his participation and still has numerous exhibits on display.
    Bob also designed exhibits for the National Gallery of Art, is the author of A Pictorial Treasury of the Smithsonian Institution , and was a veteran of WWII serving as an army decoder on Okinawa
