Spoke personally to (then) Capt. James Doolittle who had just demonstrated the Curtiss Hawk at which time he claimed the unheard of speed of 200mph at the bottom of a dive. Witnessed looping of a Ford Trimotor 1935. Became an amateur astronomer and telescope maker 1944+. Became an Aviation Electronics Technicians Mate in WWII. Lately Member of the Planetary Society.
