    Honored by:
    Ms. Jean Randall

Bob Randall started building model airplanes in kindergarten. His interest and involvement expanded so that by high school he was determined to learn to fly. He washed and polished airplanes in return for flying lessons. All the while he read and studied any and all aspects of flight. He was especially fascinated by developmental and futuristic modes of design.
In 1944 he joined the US Army Air Corps and reported for duty soon after graduation. An accident resulted in the loss of his left forearm. This did not quell his plans. He went on to attain his private pilot’s license, truly enjoying every moment in and around aircraft. Due to subsequent events his educational dream in aeronautical engineering was foiled. So, he focused on design in building model planes and gliders from which he achieved satisfaction, many awards and national acclaim for his efforts and perfection.
Regrettably failing health extinguished his passion and life at age 76.
