Born January 10, 1925 in Oklahoma City, OK. Joined US Army Air Corps in 1943, received wings and commissioned September 8, 1944. Flew aircraft to England via southern route in January 1945. Flew 13 missions. Stayed in Army of Occupation until June 1946.

Graduated University of Oklahoma in 1949. Spent 38 years as professional Scout in the Boy Scouts of America. Became president of Marauder Men of the Metroplex (Martin B-26 Marauders). Became a director for the National Marauder Historical Society in 2007.
