Selected for combat crew training March Air Base. Ordered to 14th AF 308th Group 425th Squadron and 373rd Squadron. Flew 56 combat missions. Awarded DFC w/OLC, AM w/OLC, Asiatic Pacific Campaign w/8 Battle Stars, Presidential unit Citation w/OLC, Philippine Liberation and Independence and China Medals. Commercial pilots license issued at U.S. Embassy, London, England, 1968.
