Bob has been interested in air and spacecraft since roughly second grade. He began work at the Rockwell Space Division in 1985 and led the Flight Control Systems team at Rockwell, later Boeing, for all the Shuttle/Mir docking missions. His efforts were recognized by the astronaut corps through the award of a Silver Snoopy pin, the astronauts' personal award.
