Robert J. Rankin was a Double Fighter Ace in WW II with Zemke’s Wolf Pack. Flew F-86 Sabers in Korea with 4th Fighter Wing. Holder of the DSC and DFC w/3 clusters, Legion of Merit, Air Medal w/4 clusters, Bronze Star with cluster, 2 Presidential Unit Citations, 3 Air Force Commendation Medals, Army Commendation Medals and numerous other awards. Served 32 years. Commanded 6 Fighter Squadrons in 11 years and never lost a pilot.
