    Robert J. Ruedi was born June 13, 1942 in Santa Monica. He was raised in Pacific Palisades. In 1963, while working as a mail career, he financed flying lessons at Santa Monica Airport. This developed< flying that has written the blueprint for his life. He soon purchased and flew his own AT-6, and hungrily pursued his development as a pilot an opportunity to continue honing his aviation skills by relocating Mirage Dry Lake, California where he gave glider instruction and w tow plane pilot. It was there that he met his wife Peggy, who was student. In 1969 Robert earned an Airframe and Powerplant certificate. Northrop Institute of Technology. In 1973 he began flying the Loo Hercules (or Herc as it was dubbed by its crews) for Saturn Airway with Saturn Airways, which would become Trans International Airline eventually Transamerica Airlines, he flew his Herc in emerging nations Angola, Honduras and New Guinea. His manifests ranged from people satellites. He was able to fly in areas with little or no air traffic control and land on surfaces ranging from dirt to ice. He continued his w Transamerica and in 1984 he began flying the DC-8. In 1986, Trans Airlines ceased operations.
