    Robert L. Molyneux was a Sergeant with the 15th AAF, 461st Bomb Group and served as a waist gunner and top turret gunner on the B-24 Liberator Bomber including the "All American". He flew 45 missions over Italy and Germany during World War II. The missions included a grueling series raids on the Ploiesti Oil Fields. His one mission on the "All American" was to destroy the Hermann Goering Tank Works at Linz, Austria, one of the most strongly defended areas in all of Germany. Sgt. Molyneux was credited with destroying three Me-109s. The crew was cited for destroying 14 aircraft. The "All American" was one of two B-24s to survive that raid and the only one to return to base only to be shot down the next day with a new crew. Mr. Molyneux passed away on June 15, 1995, in Dansville, New York.
