Learned to fly in 1940. Instructed CPT (WTS) students 1941-1943. Hired by United Airlines February 1943. Flew contract ATC flights Pacific theater 1943-45.
From February 1943 – July 1981 (38 ½ years) was an active United Airlines pilot flying DC3, Convair, DC 4,5,7,8, Boeing Stratocruiser, B747. Active in EAA (Experimental Aircraft Association) and private flying.
His primary interests were all manner of flying and flight.
