    He was born on August 15,1924 in New Castle,
    Pennsylvania. In 1942 he received his Commercial Pilot's____
    License and Instructor's Certificate at the age of "eighteen".
    He then taught V-5 Navy Cadets to fly according to Military
    standards at Wilson Aviation in New Castle, PA. He was one
    of thirty-one instructors at this facility. The Cadets were
    housed in New Wilmington, PA. in a building that is now part
    of Westminster College.
    At the age of 20, He joined the Navy, and was stationed
    at Hensley Naval Station in Dallas, Texas, where he was a Control Tower Operator for two years.
    After the Navy, he continued his career as a pilot
    for private companies until he was married in September of 1950.
    His interest in airplanes and flying will always be admired!
