    Robert A. Ogilvie is a professional educator who began his teaching career in 1968. He is now a retired Elementary School Teacher, Educational Consultant and Professor at the Faculty of Education, Technological Studies, Brock University.

    Robert's passion for aviation coupled with his love of education led him to obtain his Private and Commercial Pilot's Licenses. He became the Ground School Instructor at the Brantford Flight Centre in Ontario Canada in 1986. Robert is incredibly patient and has a truly amazing gift for teaching. He has inspired thousands of students during his career as an Elementary School Teacher. Robert has also taught hundreds of students in Ground School, many of which have gone on to successful and rewarding careers in all facets of aviation. He has made a tremendous impact on many lives and played in integral role on Canadian aviation in Ontario since 1986.

    Robert’s favourite general aviation aircraft is the Cessna 177B. His love for the Cardinal and lifelong dream of being an aircraft owner was realized in 2004 with the purchase of C-FQYN. Robert has also conducted workshops including seminars on aircraft ownership and partnerships.

    Robert is honoured on the Smithsonian Aviation & Space Exploration - Wall of Honor, for the countless numbers of individuals he has inspired during his teaching career. And those individuals he has helped to realize their dreams, taking to the sky and earning their "wings".
