I consider it an honor to have my name placed on the Smithsonian's National Aviation and Space Exploration Wall of Honor. My aviation career spanned over 40 years and included ground and flight activities; in the US Army Air Corps (battles for the Atlantic and for Okinawa), in General Aviation (pilot training school), commercial aviation (Capital Airlines), the Civil Aeronautics Administration (CAA), and the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

I am proud to add that in a small way I served as one of the group of many who constantly have striven to improve aviation safety.
