    Roger Dewayne Booth Sr. was Born in Bellaire Michigan in 1939; he is the oldest of 10 children. He has been married for 43 years and has two children and five Grandchildren.

    Roger has been involved with, and part of, the ongoing evolution of the aircraft and aerospace industry all of his adult life. In the late fifties he was trained by the Air Force in the aircraft and jet engine repair field, served in the Philippines maintaining F-86D & F-100 fighter aircraft, and later served at Westover Air Force Base as a flight line mechanic with a B-52 maintenance crew.

    Upon Honorable Discharge in 1961 Roger went to work for Hamilton Standard in Windsor Locks, CT as a Test and Repair Technician where he was deeply involved in the developmental phase of flight and fuel controls for the U-2 spy plane. He was involved with the then fledgling space program, testing various environmental temperature and pressure controls and played a part in developing and testing the emergency procedures used to assist the Apollo 13 craft and crew in recovering from their in flight disaster.

    Throughout his 30 year association with United Technologies he was on the leading edge of aerospace and aircraft technology as a technician, a lead set-up person, a foreman, and finally as the general foreman for the electronic aircraft equipment, overhaul, and repair section of Hamilton Standard.

    He is now retired, enjoys hands-on virtual flight programs on his computer, lives in Michigan in the summer and spends the winter in Massachusetts.
