His love of airplanes started during WWII when he collected pictures from the backs of Wings cigarette packages. He soloed an airplane before he drove a car. He built airplane models from the age of five, and still I at it at age 61. He has flown many full size airplanes including sailplanes, light planes, home builts, and even a jet trainer. He has built Long E-Z and owned power planes and a glider. He has a commercial power and glider license. He only flies radio controlled models now but loves every form of aviation and always will.
