Ron Millard was graduated from pilot training in class 53-D. He received combat crew training in the F-80 and F-86 at Nellis AFB, NV. He served in Japan and Korea in the 334th Fighter Interceptor Squadron flying the F-86F.
He returned to the States in 1954 and was assigned as a combat crew instructor in the F-86F, F-86H, and F-100C at Nellis AFB, NV. He later flew the F-86D, F-86L, and F-100C, and flew the F-102 in the Texas Air National Guard.
