Russell Coats Hartman, P. E. was a 1936 graduate of Pennsylvania State University as a Chemical Engineer and immediately went to work as a Chemical Engineer for Atlantic Refining in 1936.

During World War II while building refineries for the war effort he also flew antisubmarine patrol flights offshore from the Delaware coast in a Taylorcraft airplane that he owned.

He retired as Professional Engineer and senior management person for ARCO Oil and Gas and served as past national president of the Gas Processors Association.

Russell was intelligent, wise, kind and is missed by many.
