Salvatore "Sal" Beninati had a career that spanned 50 years in aviation. He began his aviation maintenance career while serving his country during World War II. He taught aircraft maintenance training at the former East Coast Aviation in Massachusetts before joining Raytheon Company in 1953. At Raytheon, Sal devoted 43 years of outstanding service involving flight test and corporate aircraft. Shortly before his death in 1996, Sal was a recipient of the prestigious Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award form the FAA.
