    His passion for aviation started as he watched airplanes fly over his childhood home in Mamaroneck, NY. His interest was not limited to aviation, it included space, in 1969, because of his work on an aerospace newsletter, he received and accepted an invitation from NASA to watch the Apollo 11 launch.
    Later, he received his Associates Degree from the College of Aeronautic Engineering in Queens, NY, his Bachelors Degree from Mercy College, Dobs Ferry, NY and his Law Degree from Pace Law University, White Plains, NY.
    In between education, career and family, he became a private pilot in 1980. In 2004, he became a partner in N2729V, a 1975 Cessna 177RG and in 2005, he obtained his IFR.
    He has been an AOPA member since 1979 and active in several of its programs, including: the AOPA Legal Panel (2004) as an Aviation Attorney, the Airport Safety Network (2007), and Project Pilot (2007). He joined the Lawyers-Pilot Bar Association (LPBA) in 2002 and the NTSB Bar Association in 2005. In 2006, he started writing “Sal’s Law,” a monthly column answering aviation law questions from readers for the Atlantic Flyer.
    One of his proudest aviation moments, June 29, 2007, his first solo Angel Flight Northeast mission, transporting a patient back home.
