    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:

Born 10-18-61 in Ohio home to air and space history. Lived for many years on Long Island, NY. The Cradle of Aviation where Mitchell Field is located (Charles Lindburgh and many other early aviators took off from there on trans-Atlantic and transcontinental flights). The former Grumman Corporation is located two miles from my home; the Lunar Lander was built there. I plan to retire from the USAR. My duties are Civil Affairs takes me overseas to assist civilians. As part of my three years of active duty I’ve already spent 18 months in Germany (then W. Germany) and six months in Egypt. I support the U.S. space program and believe it should be expanded to include lunar stationa. The moon’s closeness (six days vs. two years to Mars) and lack of windstorms make it and obvious choice for permanent exploration and exploitation.
