Jimmy L. Cothern served in the United States Ari Force and was stationed at Patrick Air Force Base from 1966 to 1969. While there he served in support of the Department of Defense Medical Operations during the first lunar flight of the Lunar Module 18-26 May 1969 on the Apollo 10 mission with Astronauts Colonel Thomas P. Stafford, USAF, and Commander John W. Young, USN and Commander Eugene A. Cernan, USN.
