Served in the Army Air Force for March, 1944 to May 9, 1946. Received technical school training for approximately 9.5 months in radio, radar electronics and instrument landing courses. Later, attended C-47 Airplane Mechanics and Flight Engineering School.
Served in the Third Army Air Force, 19th Tactical Air Command at Biggs Field, Texas. Worked aboard C-45s and C-47s as Flight Engineer.
