My ASN is 19166316 – I enlisted October 6, 1942 in the Second Air Force. From there I entered the 8th Air Force with 16 months in England and 4 months in Merville, France. On June 6, 1994, I received a gold medal from the Mayor of Caen, France. On December 17, 2004, the French Embassy awarded me a citation at the Vets Administration in L.A.
I enjoy air travel, including a glider ride. I was discharged in 1945, U.S. Air Force at Seymour Johnson Field, North Carolina.
