    Mr. Raymond A. Hansen Jr.

    SMSgt. Hansen served in the US Army Air Corps from July 1942 to September 1947, and subsequently in the US Air Force until retirement in April 1967. He served in the China-Burma-India (CBI) Theater in WW II flying supplies into China over the Himalaya Mountains thereby earning the Distinguished Flying Cross and The Air Medal. He served as flight engineer during the Berlin Airlift and was also in air-sea rescue in the Pacific during the Korean conflict. His son Ray Jr. hopes to continue his father's service in the aerospace field as an aerospace engineer.
