    Original Enlistee, 119th Observation Squadron, 44th Div. New Jersey National (1928). Helped found Newark (NJ) airport, and Ft. Dix (NJ) airport.
    Left Guard in 1939 to work for the War Department as quality control inspector of aircraft engines.
    Worked for short time at Wright Aeronautical Corp., Paterson, NJ, then for ten years at Jacobs Aircraft Engine Co., Pottstown, PA.
    In 1950, transferred to Lycoming Division of AVCO, Williamsport, PA as a quality control inspector for the Dept. of Defense, inspecting aircraft and other engines.
    In 1959, he transferred to Thiokol Chemical Corp. in Elkton, MD, to inspect rocket engines for DoD. He took part in Thiokol's efforts in the manned space program, inspecting most of the rocket motors destined for the lunar landing series. In fact, the motors he inspected, guided Apollo 11 to the moon on the first voyage there, and were left, bearing his stamp and name, on the lunar surface.
    In 1971, he transferred to Martin Aircraft Corp., Middle River, MD to inspect components of the B-1 Bomber.
    He retired in February 1973.
