    Curtiss Charles Drouillard was born on January 18, 1923 to Henrietta and Harvey Drouillard in Algonac, Michigan. He graduated from Algonac High School in June of 1940 and attended the Ford Motor Co. Tool and Dye Apprentice School. Curtiss entered the Army Air Force on February 11, 1943 and went overseas in June, 1944. He was stationed at Station 146 Seething, Norfolk, UK. He was a radio operator and gunner aboard an Eighth Air Force B-24 Liberator bomber. He was a Staff Sergeant. Curtiss was wounded on his 32nd mission over Germany on January 13, 1945. He was awarded the Purple Heart and the Air Medal with four oak leaf clusters. He was discharged from the service on October 17, 1945.
    On March 24, 1945, Curtiss married Pauline Sauber. He attended Michigan State University earning a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, he was employed at Firestone Steel Products and General Motors. In 1956 he returned to Ford and held many management positions until his retirement in 1982. At the time of his retirement, he was General Manager of the Climate Control Division.
    Curtiss and Pauline have three daughters and four grandchildren. He’s a loving, devoted husband, father and grandfather.
