Staff Sergeant Philip P. Godwin served in the 5th Air Force, Southwest Pacific, in the 22nd Bomb Group, Second Squadron, as tailgunner and photographer. Was based at Biak, New Guinea, Leyte, and Clark Field, Philippines, and Kadena, Okinawa. Discharged November 5, 1945.
