This dedication is to honor a man we are all better having known. Stanley John Waclawski was one of seven children, born in July of 1922, to polish immigrants. He attended Poly Tech and worked on farms picking vegitables as a young boy. He was drafted into the Army Air Corps in 1942. Originally trained to goto Europe as a radar oprator, he was transfered to the Asian Pacific as a tail gunner after the original crew was shot down and killed. This brave soldier survivied two plane crashes, during which he was trapped inside a burning plane and rescued by a commrade who broke the glass with a fire extinguisher to free him. He went on to fly in many missions, including over Tokyo and Iwo Jima. After he completed his service, he worked for Baltimore Gas & Electric for over 45 years, becoming their only non-college graduate in a general forman position. He was married to Angela for over 50 years and had two children, Dorothy, who lost her life too young from a brain tumor at the age of 13, and Mark, who to this day, follows Stanley's example of work ethic, family values, love for his country and to follow Christ. Stanley loved the Baltimore Colts, Orioles and Ravens. He liked to play tennis, golf, softball & bowling, holding a duckpin record of 196 in the '60's and a golf low score for years in his work's BG&E tournament. He also loved to travel. Stanley & Anglea traveled to every part of our beautiful country, enjoying 30 years of retirement an a loving family until he went to God in March of 2014.
