    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:
    Mr. Steve Arden

I enlisted in the Navy on November 13, 1941. On my first liberty Japan bombed Pearl Harbor. The next three days we were making submarine nets. The North Atlantic is very cold in December. My last three days I slept on the Gym Floor. One time we had hot dogs and beans two days in a row. Everything was a mess. Boot leave was cancelled and I was sent to Aviation School for six months. I volunteered for the South Pacific. After two years I was sent to VR-3.
