During his thirty-two years at Rocketdyne, the world’s major producer of rocket engines, Mr. Evans was a key leader in the initiation of many new programs. A recognized expert in rocket engine thermodynamics and performance, he led nozzle design for the Lunar Module Ascent Engine, the Lance Missile Engine and the Space Shuttle Engine proposal and proposal lead for Space Station Power. He held various management positions including Project Engineer, Program Manager, Director of Business Development and Director of Advanced Technology. He served on national committees guiding the director of propulsion technology. A graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, his many publications include the industry standard engine performance manuals.
