Steve Jones attended Iowa State University where he met his wife, Nancy, and graduated with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. After Steve retired from a 37-year career at Caterpillar Inc. in Peoria, Illinois, Steve and Nancy completed pilot training. With encouragement and support from Nancy, Steve built his own RV-14 Vans airplane that he and his wife Nancy both piloted. Steve and Nancy supported their local flying club - the R/C Flyers in Washington, Illinois - where Steve was a member and treasurer. Steve was also a leader in the Marshall County Flyers that fostered the passion of a new generation of pilots by providing youth pilot training programs in Illinois. Steve documented his passion for aviation on his blog: http://steevosrv14a.blogspot.com/
