Throughout her long career as an educator, Susan M. Signorovitch (1945-2002) understood the appeal of aviation and space exploration to the youthful imagination. She consistently sought to incorporate aviation and space-related materials into her teaching as an inducement to encourage her young students to learn to read - - the foundation of an educated citizenry, a democratic society and further advances in aviation's progress.
