She had her own business from 1980 until she passed away in 2014. It took me almost nine months to close out her business. I worked with her and we were technical writers for architects in the US with projects worldwide (imperial and metric measures).
Her entire life was due to medical advances. She had her legs sandbagged when she was a toddler, gold shots when she was a preteen, and thanks to the space program she was able to get life saving surgery (a colostomy) when she was 12.
The space program meant a lot to her, immensely. In her honor, I’ve gotten the Lego Sets for ‘Pac-Man’ and ‘NASA Artemis Space Launch Program.’ She felt that if there were another civilization in space they would be very advanced and probably able to ‘fix’ her. We watched all of the space movies, including “Contact” and “Cocoon.”
