    Honored by:
    Mr. William J. Hartko

Thomas A. Millott received his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles in 1993. In 1994 he joined Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford, CT. As of 2003, he is a Senior Dynamics Engineer. He is responsible for designing active-noise and active-vibration control systems for several of their aircraft including the S-76 and S-92 commercial aircraft and the S-70 family of military aircraft. (The S-70 family includes the Blackhawk, Seahawk, Firehawk and their variations). These systems improve the working / flying conditions for pilots & passengers in rotary-wing aircraft. Dr. Millott has had a life-long interest in manned flight, both in and out of the atmosphere, and is an avid Sci-Fi fan. His work and his passion for the future of aviation and space exploration embody the same spirit of all that the National Air & Space Museum continues to provide to this and future generations.
