Thomas E. McSweeny

Mr. McSweeny retired from the Federal Aviation Administration after almost 28 years of service to the public. His last position was Associate Administrator for Regulation and Certification. In addition he served for over 10 years as Director and Deputy Director of Aircraft Certification.
His honors and awards include:

SES Presidential Meritorious and Distinguished Rank Awards
DOT Secretary’s Award for Meritorious Achievement
Aviation Week Laurels Award
Mr. Mc Sweeny has said many times: “FAA is in the business of saving lives. All the paperwork, regulatory programs, and inspections were wasted if in the end, they do not result in people safely reaching their destination.”
