Thomas has been interested in flying since he was a small boy. Thomas started flying lessons at 14 in Leesburg, VA. He soloed at age 16 and received his pilot's license shortly after. He joined the Air National Guard in 2003 and is attending Oklahoma University as a commercial pilot major. He hopes to someday fly jets for the US Air Force.
