    SSS member Lt. Col. Tom Murch, USAF (Ret) headed west November 11, 2013, while spending Veterans' Day with his family in Tucson.
    From 1953-1973 Tom was a USAF fighter pilot and flew the F-100, F-105 and the F-111. Tom flew with the 4521st CCTS at Nellis AFB, NV and later with the 44thTFS, Kadena AB, Okinawa.
    During March through August of 1968, while flying the F105 with the 354th TFS out of Takhli AB Thailand, Tom completed 100 missions over North Vietnam.
    After retirement from the USAF in 1973, he served on the first Queen Creek, Arizona Town Council for eight years and an additional two years as Vice-Mayor. Considered by many to be the “John Wayne” of Queen Creek for his relentless pursuit of the common good.
    Burial took place at National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N Cave Creek Rd. Phoenix, AZ.
