    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:
    Mr. Thomas Beck

I am happy and honored to be able to participate in the wonderful activities of the National Air & Space Museum and have my name added to the illustrious names of those mentioned for inclusion on the Wall of Honor.

My special involvement and interest in aviation now spans 30 years, and in that time I have been the proud owner of 4 aircraft and have secured Commercial, Instrument, Multi-engine and Advanced & Instrument Ground Instructors ratings ... all strictly for the challenge and enjoyment of personal flying.

I recently did an "N" search on the FAA database and discovered my 1st aircraft, a 1960 "metalized" Piper Colt now happily residing in Georgia. The 2nd, a 1961 Piper Tri-Pacer, also metalized, is a proud resident of Connecticut. My 3rd, a 1955 Piper Apache, is also happily soldiering on for a gentleman in Brooklyn, NY.

I presently own a fully equipped 1969 Cessna 310P. This wonderful aircraft has taken us to Yellowstone National Park, Gander Newfoundland and even Goose Bay Labrador!

We did have the unfortunate experience of experiencing an engine failure upon departure from Myrtle Beach Intl Airport at 400 feet last December, but the wonderful capabilities of the aircraft enabled an uneventful return. She has recently been totally refurbished with a new avionics suite, including Arnav GPS & Multi function display, new Stec 65 Autopilot/FD with altitude pre-select, Strikefinder and TCAS. She is currently being upgraded with a new Weather uplink system as well. The wings now sport vortex generators and the interior is in brand new leather, including headliner.

She has appreciated some $70,000 over the past 4 years as well, according to Vref! So selective aircraft ownership can even be considered to be a prudent investment these days for those contemplating it!
