    My name is Thomas W. Blanks. I hold the following licenses from the FAA- 1 am an A&P Mechanic, Inspection Authorization and NDT certified. I also hold the Charles Taylor Master Mechanic Award and the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award for 50 years of continuous service in the commercial and general fields of aviation. I started my career in 1953 in the USAF. I spent four years on active duty and twelve years active reserves. I recieved my first general aviation training from Jack Crawford at Maryland Air Port (1959-1965). I moved to California, in 1965 to attend A&P school at San Diego Community College where I recieved an Associates Degree in
    Airframe an Power Plant. I then went to work for Bill Flint at Gillespie Field in El Cajon, California. In 1969 I went to work for PSA for 10 years - later to become USAir where I retired in 2001 in Charlotte,NC after a total of 32 years in commercial aviation. I am now 84 years young and still active in general aviation as an IA in Florida.
