Tim Foley is a native of San Francisco, California, born in 1931. Tim has been a private pilot for almost 40 years. His aviation activities are based at San Carlos Airport.
Tim has served as a volunteer at the Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos. He is also a reserve pilot for the San Mateo County, California Sheriff's Squadron.
Tim is an active member of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) and the EAA Young Eagles program. He has introduced over 800 young people to the joy and excitement of general aviation by taking them up into the skies for their first flights in private aircraft. Tim ranks among the top 50 active pilots in the Young Eagles program. Tim's many contributions to general aviation in the San Francisco area merit the addition of his name to the National Air and Space Museum Wall of Honor.
