He has been both a U. S. Air Force and Delta Airlines pilot. In the Air Force he was qualified to fly the T-37, T-38, C-23, and C-141. He flew in worldwide operations including the Libyan Raid, Operation Just Cause in Panama, and Desert Shield and Desert Storm in the Middle East.
He has been qualified on the B-727, L-1011, B-737, MD-88, B-757 and the B-767 with Delta Airlines. He has flown over 10,000 hours in total.
