Enlisted in the Army Air Corp on April 26,1943 as an aviation cadet. His serial number was 14203367, base unit 2512 AAF. He entered active service on December 29,1943 at Ft. McPherson, GA. And was training on P-38s when the war ended before his training was completed.
His separation came at Ellington Field, Texas on November 4,1945.
