Armand Bergeron has loved aviation since he was very young. Not only did he achieve his pilot's license, but he was blessed to have the opportunity to work at something that he loved by working as an aircraft mechanic during his 20-year career in the United States Air Force. He patented two devices for aircraft while in the service. He continued his interest and fascination with flying even as he prepared to retire from his non-military career by being a very active participant in building an experimental aircraft with friends. His passion for aviation is still evident in the many books and films he avidly enjoys pertaining to all things aviation-related, and has passed his respect and admiration for the subject on to his three children.

Mr. Bergeron exemplifies someone who is a true "friend of aviation".
