Harris Barton Albright was born September 1, 1923 in Kansas City, MO. After graduating from Center High School in Kansas City he moved to North Hollywood, California and entered the Army Air Corps in January 1943.
He was called to active duty in March 1944 and after formal training in Casper, Wyoming he arrived in Wendling, United Kingdom in July 1944.
T/Sergeant Albright was assigned to 392 Bomb group - 576 Bomb Squadron, 8th Air Force. Sgt. Albright flew 35 missions from September 1944 to March 1945. Missions included Berlin, Hamburg, Kassel and Hamm. 35 missions without an abort and dropped all their bombs on target.
For his service to his country, we will always remember the greatness of this man and the mark he left to his family and friends. He was truly the last of the Greatest Generation.
